Flo Trans, established in 2000, is an experienced and growing logistics company based out of Chicago, IL. Flo Trans operates 10 ecoboost trucks based in Chicago, and an established brokerage division that helps create unique solutions in the LTL, expedited, warehousing, FTL, and project based freight space.
Position Overview:
As an Entry-Level Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of our brokerage services. After your training period, you will be responsible for prospecting for new business through methods like cold calling, cold emailing, LinkedIn use, video messaging, virtual calls, in person visits, etc. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with your new clients, while negotiating rates, and assisting with new business development and onboarding. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the logistics industry and develop your sales skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Prospecting & Client Development:

Identify and reach out to potential shippers to introduce them to our services

Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and clients to understand their transportation needs

Follow our business practices to manage consistent and high quality outreaches to create qualified leads

Work your pipeline to work qualified leads to opportunities

Sales and Negotiation:
-
Negotiate rates with shippers and carriers to secure competitive pricing for freight movements

Provide accurate and timely quotes to clients, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction

Close sales deals and ensure that all contractual obligations are met

Logistics Coordination:
-
Coordinate with operations to ensure successful onboarding of your new clients, assisting both internal and external teams through the process and new business go-live

Communicate with clients often and whenever they have questions or concerns, collaborate well with operations as needed to problem solve and create solutions

Customer Service:
-
Respond promptly to client inquiries and resolve any issues related to freight movements.

Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and support.

Handle any customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and efficiency

Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, client interactions, and freight movements within our systems

Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely invoicing and payment collection

Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly

Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed in a sales role.

Basic understanding of business partnerships and the logistics and transportation industry (preferred, but not required).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Position Overview:
As an Account Executive at Flo Trans, you will be a key driver in the expansion of our brokerage services, leveraging your industry knowledge and sales expertise to build and maintain strong relationships with small, medium and enterprise clients. In this role, you will be responsible for developing strategic business partnerships, negotiating complex contracts, and ensuring the seamless execution of transportation solutions. Your experience will enable you to thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering exceptional results and contributing to the continued growth of Flo Trans.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Client Development:

Identify and pursue opportunities with prospects matching our ICP verticals, focusing on long-term partnerships that align with Flo Trans’ service offerings.

Utilize your industry expertise to understand client needs and tailor solutions that drive mutual success.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring consistent business growth.
Sales and Contract Negotiation:

Lead complex negotiations with clients and carriers to secure competitive rates while maximizing profitability.

Provide clients with accurate, timely, and strategic quotes that align with their logistics needs and budget.

Close sales deals with a focus on long-term business objectives and client satisfaction.

Ability to follow up on and work leads that are provided by marketing, operations, senior leaders, etc. with a strong emphasis on converting to close when we have “warm” or “hot” leads
Logistics Coordination:

Work closely with operations to ensure the successful onboarding of new clients and the smooth execution of logistics solutions.

Collaborate with internal teams to address client challenges and develop innovative solutions that enhance service delivery.
Customer Success and Relationship Management:

Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing inquiries, concerns, and opportunities for growth.

Maintain a high level of client satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and proactive communication.

Manage and resolve escalated client issues with professionalism and efficiency.
Reporting and Performance Monitoring:

Maintain detailed records of all sales activities, client interactions, and freight movements within our CRM system.

Provide regular performance reports and insights to management, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate invoicing and timely payment collection.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development within the logistics or transportation industry (preferred).

Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close complex deals.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-centric approach.

A willingness to adopt new methodologies and practices to continue to enhance and improve your sales approaches, open mindedness

Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
